Abroad (week 1): Spain

Peek into my daily life with iPhone photos. 1 photo per day with the time noted and a descriptive caption.

5.5 / 9: 14 post meridiem // My first night in A Coruna with my host family. Paloma, the middle child, made this sweet sign and balloons all over my floor for me. It was finally bed time for me and the lamp light was so cozy against the dusk sky. It's still bright outside at this time of day but I was so tired from staying up for over 30 hours that I did not care.

5. 6 / 3:12 post meridian // On my first full day at the house I went to the kitchen to make a PB&J for lunch. I looked for the peanut butter and then remembered that PB is an American staple. I ate a jelly sandwich and was still hungry, obviously. I asked the kids about peanut butter and they said they knew about it but had never had a PB&J. I told them I would try to find some and let them try a sandwich.

5.7 / 2:20 post meridiem //  Sitting on rocks at Hercules Tower looking out over the sea. Alvaro, the oldest child, was next to me. I told him I could stay here all day. He said, "what about food?" in which I replied, "I'd pack some!" He then said what about sleeping and I said I would go home at that point because it's too windy and cold to sleep here:)

5.8 / 12:00 post meridiem // I woke up late and finally went downstairs for breakfast. When I was finished prepping my food I went to walk out of the kitchen and spotted churros left on the kitchen table. I ate one :)

5.9 / 4:00 post meridiem // I love how modern and sleek this house is. It's very pleasing with white walls, large windows with solid white curtains, and skylights everywhere.
