Abroad {week 9}: Spain

Week 9 is my last full week in Spain. It's sad because I am just now being reached out to by locals and am making friends that are AMAZING but I am leaving next week. This happened to me in NYC when I stayed for about this time frame, too. I would say it takes that long to really get to know people and commit to hanging out with new people but I keep moving around the U.S. and Europe so it is what it is!

6.28 / 8:54 post meridiem // We had just finished dinner and Alvaro ran outside to play. I love this photo because you see the sunset and the beautiful honeysuckles behind the goal.

6.29 / 1:07 post meridiem // I explored Coruna on Wednesday and stopped in this cafe for a tea. I was amazed at how cute the place was and was very happy with my choice. I kept thinking that Paige, my twin sister, would love it because it was chic with gorgeous colors, eclectic with funky decor, and there were flowers everywhere. But then I saw the foxes on the menu (I LOVE FOXES) and was very pleased that it was the perfect place for me.

6.30 / 12:18 post meridiem // On Thursday around noon, Tatiana and I took our girls to the park with the castle (which none of them have visited...like whaaaat????) and we had a picnic! It was a blast. The girls ran around and played all day. Tatiana and I took our shoes off, naturally, and the girls could not get over how gross that was which was funny to me because they're kids and I thought all kids around the world loved to be barefoot. However, they come from a different lifestyle than Tatiana and I so the difference was amusing.

7.1 / 7:23 post meridiem // On Friday afternoon to evening the kids and I made multiple videos with different scenarios. They have this little machine that makes noises so we would pick 2-3 noises and make a video based on the sequence of the sound. This was one of my favorite videos because the kiddos are so theatrical and funny.

7.2 / 6:59 post meridiem // Tatiana and I visited Santiago on Saturday! It was amazing. We drank wine and a liter of sangria and ate calamari while telling ghost and family stories. We also got lost twice and walked 8-9 miles. This photo was taken while lost, tired, and sweaty. hashtag long hair dont care.

7.3 / 6:13 post meridiem // soooo not the best photo. HOWEVER, I was trying to secretly take a photo of the massive crowd on the beach. I failed because this doesn't even show half the people there and it's also sideways. The point, though, is there is another lady taking a photo and looking right at me which is very interesting. It's an intriguing photo nonetheless.

7.4 / 10:19 post meridiem // First, let's talk about how it's 10:19 pm and looooook at that light. I will miss that which I've said a billion times. Second, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Tatiana's family threw a 4th of July party for she and I which was amazing. There were so many people there. Amongst us was one more American. It was really sweet that so many people participated in this party yet they all had different nationalities. We ate so much food. BLESS.
